If you haven't heard by now, you're really out of the loop. A big deal was made on the red carpet at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards last Sunday. It was certainly a ceremony that will be talked about and remembered in time to come. Especially Oprah's speech.

So what was the memo the stars received concerning their dress? None! No memo, but a united front of hope from some of the biggest names in Hollywood!

A symbol of hope indeed is what is was. Top stars including Zoe Kravitz, Debra Messing and Weinstein accuser, Ashley Judd, outfitted their black wear with Emeralds at the Golden Globe.

Rose quartz, with its soft and hazy pink hues, is a variety of the mineral quartz. It’s very popular for use in Jewellery-making and you’ll also see it cut into cabochons and beads or just as loose tumbled stones. Some are even carved into birds! Rose quartz is found mainly in Brazil but also in the United States and other parts of the world. It’s a readily available, very affordable and popular gem.

Every type of Jewellery making material requires different care and a little TLC to keep them looking beautiful. When you set out to clean your beads and supplies, be sure to test your method on a small sample before cleaning an entire piece of finished Jewellery or an entire strand of beads.

However, there is a large group of people who suffer with A.C.D, with whom we have tested our Medical Grade Plastic Earring hooks who now find that these products are very easy to wear. They are very small and suitable even for small children.

Gold plate and gold vermeil are thin plates that wear off sometimes very quickly, and expose the base metal. Gold fill is a thicker plate, usually over silver, that will look and wear like gold. The colour is much nicer than plated version. For silver, I would go with Sterling since silver plate also wear off and usually exposes copper underneath. It does tarnish. Argentium silver does not tarnish. It is alloyed with different metals to Sterling. It is also harder to find and there are not as many style choices.

Soldiers returning home after WWII brought home trinkets made by craftsmen local to the area where they were fighting to give to loved ones. American teenagers in the 1950s and early 1960s collected charms to record the events in their lives. Screen icons like Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Crawford helped to fuel the interest and popularity of charm bracelets.
